Review

I upgraded my Pi lab to the latest GeeekPi stack earlier this year and it’s been a tidy home for my four-node k3s cluster. The six acrylic layers bolt together quickly, and each tray has cutouts for GPIO and SD access so I can hot-swap boards without tearing the stack apart. The dual 80 mm fans keep Pi 4s under 55°C even when I’m hammering them with build jobs, and the included standoffs leave just enough room for PoE hats. Cable runs inevitably get busy, but the side channels help corral USB-C and Ethernet leads, and I labeled each tier so reboots are painless. It’s still acrylic, so avoid overtightening screws, and power distribution is on you, but for a compact homelab chassis it’s the cleanest solution I’ve tried.

✓ Pros

  • Six-layer stack fits four Raspberry Pi boards with PoE hats
  • Dual 80 mm fans keep Pi 4 clusters cool under sustained load
  • Cutouts provide easy access to GPIO, SD, and ports when assembled
  • Included standoffs and cable channels help tame cluster wiring

✗ Cons

  • Acrylic standoffs can crack if over-tightened
  • Cable management still requires thoughtful power distribution
