BenQ ScreenBar Pro Monitor Light

I’ve run the ScreenBar Pro every day since June and it has permanently replaced the task lamp on my main desk. The asymmetrical optics still throw a measured 1000+ lux down the middle of a 33-by-20-inch workspace while my 32-inch monitor stays glare-free, and the touch-sensitive dimmer plus 2700K-6500K color slider make it easy to match daylight or late-night sessions. The ultrasonic sensor remains the secret weapon: sitting within roughly two feet brings the light up with a gentle fade, and it shuts off five minutes after I leave so it never burns overnight. The revised clamp handled both my flat panel and a borrowed 1000R curved display without wobble, and USB-C power lets it sip directly from my monitor hub instead of adding another wall brick. It’s a spendy upgrade and the motion sensor occasionally trips when someone walks behind the chair, but the combination of eye comfort, freed desk space, and zero flicker fatigue keeps it in my "can’t go back" category for 2025.
