Review

The Explorer 2000 v2 has anchored my mobile office and emergency kit all summer. The new 2042Wh LiFePO4 pack delivers 2200W continuous (4400W surge), which means I can run a tower PC, dual monitors, fiber modem, and espresso machine without browning out. Jackery finally added dual 100W USB-C PD ports—handy for topping off laptops while the AC outlets feed NAS gear. With the two MPPT inputs I can parallel a pair of 200W panels and still plug in the SolarSaga suitcase when clouds roll in; peak sun nets roughly 1.2 kW and brings the pack from 20% to 80% in about two hours. Cycle life is rated for 4000 charges to 70%, and after four months of weekly use it still reports 100% health. The touchscreen shows per-port draw, remaining runtime, and inverter temperature, so it’s easy to manage loads. Downsides: at 61 lb it’s a two-hand carry, and the cooling fans ramp up under >1600W loads. But as a quiet, gasoline-free backup that can also power multi-day off-grid work trips, it’s the most capable station I’ve tested.

✓ Pros

  • 2042Wh LiFePO4 pack delivers 2200W pure sine AC with long cycle life
  • Dual 100W USB-C PD ports handle laptops without tying up AC
  • Two MPPT inputs allow fast solar + wall top-offs
  • Detailed touchscreen shows load, runtime, and inverter status
  • Pairs seamlessly with Jackery and third-party panels for blackout prep

✗ Cons

  • 61 lb weight makes single-person transport a workout
  • Cooling fans get noticeable when sustaining loads above 1.6 kW
