Review

I rely on the Sabrent 10-port hub to wrangle dev boards, audio interfaces, and test SSDs on my bench. The 60 W power brick feeds every port, and the individual on/off toggles mean I can power-cycle a microcontroller or disconnect a bus-powered drive without yanking cables. The blue LED strips are bright out of the box, so I covered them with a strip of matte tape and now they’re perfect status indicators. Transfer speeds hold steady around 350-400 MB/s for SATA SSD enclosures—exactly what you’d expect from a USB 3.0 hub in the chain—and the included 12V/5A brick runs cool even with multiple devices drawing power. A ferrite bead or two helps if you’re sensitive to RF noise, but for Desktop expansion and lab benches, this hub has been rock solid for two years.

✓ Pros

  • Ten USB 3.0 ports with 60 W power budget
  • Individual power switches for each port
  • Stable throughput for SSD enclosures and dev boards
  • Includes 12V/5A supply and mounting hardware

✗ Cons

  • LED strips are bright without diffusers
  • Adds a bulky power brick to cable management
