The aluminum heat spreader plate and thermal pad keep temps in the mid-40s during large transfers, and the enclosure resumes instantly after sleep on macOS, Windows, and Linux. It ships with both USB-C to C and C to A cables now, so I can plug straight into my Mac or a dev board without adapters. It will get warm on extended writes and obviously can’t match Thunderbolt enclosures, but for quick clones, Steam libraries, or scratch disk duty, it’s been rock solid.
