Review

I rebuilt the UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) this fall and it still feels like the crown jewel of LEGO Star Wars. The 33-inch hull is packed with asymmetrical greebles, the Technic frame keeps it surprisingly sturdy, and the removable panels reveal the dejarik lounge, engineering station, and smuggling compartments. Swapping radar dishes and minifigs lets me display either the original trilogy crew or the sequels. Build time clocked in around 20 hours across a few weekends—it’s repetitive greebling, but the final result looks like a prop straight off the set. The aftermarket price has climbed, yet if you have the space (and a sturdy coffee table), it’s an unbeatable centerpiece.

✓ Pros

  • 7,541-piece UCS build captures the Falcon’s iconic exterior
  • Interior sections include dejarik table, engineering bay, and hidden compartments
  • Sturdy Technic spine lets you move the model without catastrophic flex
  • Includes crew and radar dishes for both trilogy eras

✗ Cons

  • Secondary market price remains sky-high
  • Demands a dedicated table-sized display area
